Why did you name your company Alien Marketing?

We seem to get this a lot. We're not little or green or sci-fi fanatics. Not that there's anything wrong with that if you are. The idea was that high quality web design and marketing is lacking on the internet. It seems foreign to most. Alien, if you will. We want to help you do better. Not just so the internet is a prettier place, but so you can rise above your competition. Your customers make decisions about your website and company in a matter of seconds. We're here to help you make the best impression. All that, plus we've heard it rumored that Google is about to start selling crop circle ads.

What is pay per click marketing (PPC)?

Pay per click marketing is one of the fastest and most cost effective ways to drive traffic to your site.  And not just any traffic.  These are targeted visitors who are searching for your products and services.  Your ads show up above or just to the right of the natural search listings for the keywords and phrases that you choose.  The main players in pay per click are Yahoo! and Google.  They have agreements with other major search engines so your ads reach almost 100% of active internet users.


Where are my PPC ads displayed?

Yahoo! ads are displayed at the top, to the right, and at the bottom of the natural search listings.  They are called “Sponsor Results”.  The Yahoo! distribution network also includes Excite, Juno, Dogpile, AlltheWeb, AltaVista, and others.

Google ads are displayed at the top and to the right of the natural search listings.  They are called “Sponsored Links”.  Google’s distribution network also includes AOL, Netscape, Earthlink, Ask, and others.


How much does pay per click cost?

Each ad clicked costs between $0.01 and $100.  It varies, depending on what your competitors are bidding for each word.  We'll manage your campaign to maximize your spending and stay within your requested budget.
